the powerful drumming of Lombardo within a classical music
context.
INFO and SOUNDS
Dave and want to bring you some
great grooves that are from basic to advanced in level. We
want to produce a book that everyone will enjoy working through.
Most of you know me as a drummer who enjoys the Afro-Caribbean
side of things. Dave's grooves are intense. They groove. What
more can I ask for? Hey, I'm practicing the book right now!
Power
Grooves starts out with an 8th note groove section.
Most of these, and all other, grooves are represented on the
CD. (There are 72 tracks
on the CD, not including the playalong tracks.)
Next are 16th note grooves, including
some great syncopated heavy rock and funk grooves. This section
will definitely provide some challenging material to all levels
of drumming and all drumming styles.
Following this section in the
double bass section. Need I say more?!

Then there's a great section
we call "Riding the Toms". Dave has a unique way
of playing heavy grooves using toms, bass(es), and snare.
This is a killer section.
Now come the playalongs, with
Dave playing drums and then music minus drums. As soon as
I get the CD, I'll put some sounds here.
